Find the Substance

A few years back, Fox News called itself “Fair and Balanced” while calling 1/2 the US population Dims repeatedly all day long – sometimes in the same breath. If you didn’t get that blatant evidence of pure bullshit, I feel sorry for you. It is a pity that so many people can deceive themselves so convincingly that they run around spouting the other bullshit that a self-proclaimed entertainment network jokingly calls news. Some have been able to self-convince so profoundly that they listen intently to what has been determined by representatives of Fox in a court of law to be fake news, but nearly all other news networks are the fake news thanks to the repetition from one person with a big voice without regard for truth or facts. Wow.

We’re in huge trouble, and we all need to re-evaluate our ethics and moral compasses. It’s time to take better stock of what is being said and find out how much truth there is to the rhetoric from EVERY source.

WE THE PEOPLE NEED TO MAKE BETTER CHOICES. Get involved in choosing those who will run for office. Learn about your candidates before you vote. Vote for those who have proven themselves to be worthy of representing you and (maybe more important) looking after your needs and well-being. Put a hold on the rhetoric and find the substance. Find those with positive messages who want to build a better future for all of us – ALL of us. If all you’re hearing from a candidate or incumbent is negativity, they may be a terrible choice for the next term in office. If you had to live with someone who had nothing nice to say about others, you’d try to be home as seldom as possible. What do men call a wife who bitches all the time? Do you want that kind of person controlling your future? My bet is that the answer to that question is a resounding NO.

Think and research before you vote.
