I was born in the early 50s and have been in positions of relatively high responsibility for the majority of my adult life.  I was reared by two do-it-yourselfers who didn’t believe in the separated roles of male and female and was expected (especially as an only child) to learn how to do everything . . . so I did.  My educational background is predominantly in the areas of entertainment, including both on and off stage as well as preparatory through close of show functions, and psychology, including ongoing independent reading and class auditing to current day.  I have training and experience as an image consultant and makeup artist. However, over the course of my years in the entertainment business and in more mainstream areas like printing and credit, I’ve found that my relatively missed calling has always been in various fields of writing – technical, research, opinion, and fiction to name a few.  Although I’ve put this talent to work in many of my managerial positions, it has generally been a sideline job function instead of a focus.

In 2005, I earned my certification as a Reiki Master and have trained and attuned several hundred students worldwide.  I recently became a Wellness Advocate with a specialty in essential oils and am a distributor for a high-quality essential oils company.  My energy work with crystals began in the early 1990s, and I studied under Madeline Hansen in Las Vegas for many years.  She is still, although retired, my mentor.  I earned my Crystal Practitioner certificate in 2020. As President, Co-Founder, and Editor-in-Chief of SCPE, Inc. I oversaw the entire publication of the women’s monthly ezine for six years, including recruiting new journalists and experts from various backgrounds and modalities for submissions; authoring editorial and creative pieces; and designing, editing, and marketing.  I have been designing both fashion jewelry and healing crystal jewelry since the late 70s.  I’m a vocalist, pianist, guitarist, and award-winning photographer.  To relax I read or crochet and have designed and made well over 300 afghans.  I practice no organized religion but am empowered by eclectic forms of energy that derive power and substance from several mainstream as well as off-the-beaten-track spiritualities.  I am an ordained minister and recently earned my Life Coach certification.
